Wishing You a Blessed New Year

I wish you all a blessed New Year in Immanuel, whose name is Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the everlasting Father, the Prince of peace (Is. 9:6).

I pray that your and my New Year’s resolution this year will be that we would, by the Spirit’s grace, trust in the triune God and lovingly obey Him, saying no to sin, cherishing His Son, denying ourselves and worldly trivia and iniquity, walking in the King’s highway of holiness, and being faithful to our Lord wherever He has placed us.

A friend just sent me this statement of Spurgeon which I pray that God will bless in all of our lives, but I especially am thinking of our Puritan Reformed Seminary alumni all over the world today in a few dozen countries.

Dear brother, wherever you are serving, may the Lord God bless you with this intimate sense of divine providence, and may you and I respond in faithfulness to our sending, empowering, and faithful Redeemer.
